Back in Paris, and there is definitely a feeling of autumn in the air. It happens from
one day to the next. Suddenly there is no longer the question, "Will I need a sweater".
Just take it, please. If one is following this blog, as one SHOULD be, one will notice
that Linda is wearing another poncho. Yes, I really do love them. Just so simple and
effortless. My way of dressing!!! Not to say I do not make an effort. I love putting
together my look for the day. I enjoy the process of deciding what I feel like wearing.
In my case it is all about an attitude for the day. Girly, less girly, classic, more today, slim or
more boyfriend baggy....on and on are our choices. At this point in time, I am talking
age here, I do try not to look like my daughters. You see I am 60 and I have two
daughters who are quite young. Late bloomer I was. Tatiana is 18 and India is 27.
Problem is they wear articles that I just love..........so I try to style them more for my age.
Typical situation:
Khaki boyfriend baggy jeans........Current/Elliott
Black Cotton T-Shirt.....45 RPM
Black Cashmere Poncho.....Crimson (my shop!!!)
Booties.....Ferragamo Re-edition
Bag.....Chanel 2.55 (The original...different from Chanel classic)
Belt made from black grosgrain with fake diamond buckle.
Make your own by finding fun buckles at your local, well, buckle shop.
Grosgrain you can find easily enough, right? Choose basic colors....beige, grey, and black.
Closing now because I am off to see the third movie in the Twilight series?
Guess what? I do not care about my age. I love Robert Pattison!!!

St. Remy de Provence August 2010

This could prove to be one of my very favorite vacations. All the elements were there......
beautiful Provencial Mas just outside the ancient and charming village of St. Remy and
a garden unlike any I had ever seen. My friend, Joel, who is an architect and decorator had
recently redone this house and instrumented a complete make-over of the garden.
Imagine rows of lavender surrounding the numerous olive trees framed by a garden
of hundreds of white roses.

Every evening my host would prepare cocktails on the terrace. Ice cold rose' wine
served with black tapenade and fresh bread from the local bakery. Cheeses were amazing!!!
Now that is a nice summer evening in Provence.

Evenings in Provence call for cashmere, ladies. I am wearing my lemon sherbet colored
poncho with my favorite summer shorts my Lily Pulitzer. DO notice my gold metalic
Tropezienne sandals.....by Rondini of St. Tropez. Joel, who is on my best dressed list
of chic French Ladies has teamed her bright white poncho with silk Prada floral pyjamas.

Merci a thousand times over to Joel
for her very generous invitation et
Bonsoir et a tres bientot a St. Remy

Paris at the end of august is always intriguing weather wise. This year we are
blessed with cool and cloudy days with just the right amount of sunlight.
What more could a girl ask for to prolong that white summer jean. As I love
textures, I have teamed mine with a great long sleeved printed top in cotton jersey.
The steele grey grosgrain belt with those fake diamonds for a buckle add just the
right amount of fun. My favorite buy this summer was this wonderful YSL bracelet.
Silver and shells......don't you love it!!! Must mention my fashionista daughters did not
get this buy. Strange .....seems so obvious that it is a piece they will love to borrow
when I am not looking. I have discovered J. Crew ballerinas. Yep, girls, buy them in all
the basic colors I can find. Am the proud owner of beige, black and this pretty pearl grey.
Not shown is my purse of choice for the day.....Chanel Classic in beige......and a dark grey
cotton and cashmere blend cardigan from my shop, CRIMSON.

Slim Jean is from Current/Elliott Summer 2010
Printed long sleeved top is Fall 2010 Pucci

By the way, I am no longer buying the "No White" after labor day business.

Home Sweet Home

Ft. Worth, Texas is where the West (of the U.S.A.) begins and Ft. Worth is where I was raised.
After, 30 years of life in Paris, France, I am hereby testifying before all mankind, that I left my
heart in Ft. Worth. What a wonderful feeling to go home and feel like it is!!! This is largely thanks to my family of course. Nothing takes the place in the heart of an individual than to
experience the love of their families. Now, I must say, without further delay, thank you to the
cowboys who have remained steadfast and true to their core values over the years. Let's not get
complicated here.....they are simple.....down to earth and genuinely heart warming. I love the way their jeans are perfectly starched and ironed. Yep, pleat down the front, please. There are
no "fashion of the season" lengths for these men. It is and always has been breaking on the
boot. Oh, those boots. More where these came from. See later blog updates, fans. Notice in the picture of my two cowboys, there hats still on the head. No sir, cowboys do not take off their hats when in a restaurant. One exception being when saying hello to a lady. ALWAYS respectful to the women folk!!!
Just a slight taking off and tilting of the hat says it all. I am satisfied. Nope not complicated, gentlemen, just a manly gesture is all we ladies need. Will leave you all with just that image for today. I am back in the City of Lights, but am so very thankful for my summer trip back to
Texas where I am reminded that I am still a lady.
